Such a spectacle, bathed in the cruel delight of Flavius and embraced by the adoration of the boisterous crowds, compels a profound question to arise: Shall the simmering tensions drive these warriors to defy the sponsor’s whims, seeking individual glory? Or shall they dutifully surrender and satisfy the insatiable desires of Flavius rule?

Armed with but a humble class loadout, each player embarks upon a relentless gladiatorial odyssey to mold their character into an indomitable force. Seek out shiny new armor and weapons, glistening coins, strategic tokens, and the ever-fickle favor of the enraptured crowd. But beware! For within this perilous arena, the path to triumph is fraught with peril and risk.

Navigating these treacherous arenas, players shall encounter the watchful eye of the Summa Rudis, the enigmatic master of ceremonies. They should brace for thrilling encounters as they clash with savage arena beasts and formidable adversaries. Always on guard against the pesky spectators whose fickle whims can sway the tides of fortune. Within these walls of ambition, the ultimate test awaits – each must vanquish their rivals and emerge as the sole survivor, the last gladiator standing tall amidst the fallen.

In this riveting contest of cunning and courage, only the boldest and most resilient warriors shall claim victory. Who will rise to the occasion, defying the odds and proving their mettle? Or who will succumb to the relentless onslaught and be condemned to obscurity? The stage is set, dear players. What will be your Fate in Flavius Rule?

When a player is eliminated or an event concludes, the crowd favor(CF) a player ends an event with determines the Fate of their character in Flavius Rule. 

Most fates are ‘simple’ narrative conclusions to a character’s story, but a few can offer further actions. 

It is best for players not to concern themselves with this page until the appropriate time, but when needed, corresponding fates are listed next to crowd favor or a ranges of CF scores:

Ad Memoriae
A fate consigned to condemned memory. The relentless onslaught of blunted stones batters your body, as you succumb to an eternity of empty darkness, fading from all remembrance.
Ad Bestias
Today, you fulfilled a grim purpose - satisfying Flavius' insatiable beasts'. As the ravenous creatures rend your body asunder, you curse Hygieia and ponder...if only I was elixired?!
Ad Flamma
Your body shall illuminate the walls of our majestic arenas. Bound atop a wooden pole, flames lick hungrily at your feet, scorching your form before the enthralled, fiery-eyed spectators.
Ad Tholo
The resounding chants of 'Tholo' reverberate through the expanse of the arena. Peering through a damaged helm, Tholo's unsettling giggle fills the air - lending to the sadistic gleam in his eye. Mercilessly, he smashes your skull in with blunted clubs, reveling in your petty demise.
Prometheus
Amidst the obscuring rays of the sun and your wavering vision, a Bestiarii materializes at Flavius' side. His loyal eagle, once a symbol of majesty and grace, claws at your liver, wrenching forth crimson strands that weave a macabre tapestry from within your very being.
Tunic of Nessus
Acidicly doused robes constrict your body, searing flesh with a deliberate and methodical intensity. While the crowd may eventually grow weary of your agonizing torment, your sizzling sacrifice serves as a morbid source of delight for the ravenous spectators, whose anticipation for a sightly slaughter is met with subtle satisfaction.
Pasiphae's Curse
With a gruff grunt and a hoof scuffing against the sand, a robust bull directs his menacing horns towards your laughable attire, encircling you as both of your fates intertwine in a violent embrace. The crowd erupts in raucous laughter, reveling in the morbid spectacle before them.
Wings of Icarus
Cast down from the highest perch, your body crashes upon the unforgiving sandstone floor, transforming into a grotesque spectacle of entangled feathers and melted wax. Sol gleams on your corpse from the perfect vantage point.
Charun
With one eye barely clinging to your ravaged face, a realization dawns upon you—the thunderous crowd is cheering your name. Despite the agony, summon a fleeting smile and embrace the certainty that your departure from this mortal plane is met with resounding approval. Your soul shall find solace in the knowledge that you have achieved a worthy and memorable exit.

Flavius rolls 1x d6. If the result is 4 or greater, you are spared -Fate score set to [20 CF] and character sent to the Ludus Flavius; Otherwise, roll a d12 to determine your ultimate fate.
Ludus Flavius
A skilled fighter is a rare gem to find. While you haven't amassed enough to secure your freedom, may you find glory and freedom when summoned again.(Use 1/2 of earned CF for future events)
